The Mardi Gras spirit ignited Panama City Beach on Friday as families gathered at Pier Park for the 2026 Mardi Gras Kids Parade.

The atmosphere buzzed with excitement, setting the stage for a weekend brimming with festivities.

Young cheerleaders kicked off the parade, their energetic routines and bright smiles captivating the crowd.

Their enthusiasm was contagious, drawing spectators into the celebratory mood.

Following them, the Krewe of Dominique Youx showcased their iconic floats, adorned in vibrant colors and overflowing with beads.

Children eagerly lined the route, hands outstretched, as krewe members showered them with trinkets, embodying the classic PCB Mardi Gras charm.

A lively second line band infused the streets with a true New Orleans vibe.

Their brass horns and rolling drums had spectators swaying and dancing along the sidewalks.

Adding to the musical tapestry, Chubby Carrier & The Bayou Swamp Band delivered their signature zydeco sound.

Their upbeat rhythms and accordion riffs transformed the afternoon into a full-on street party, with families clapping, dancing, and soaking in the moment. Who Stole My Hot Sauce was a big hit.

Looking ahead, today's main parade promises more excitement, though attendees should prepare for cooler temperatures.
