Families looking to stretch their budgets, clear out closets or find some great secondhand deals will want to mark their calendars for Growing Through the Years – PCB Pop-Up Consignment, coming to the Bay County Fairgrounds September 3–5, 2026.

The three-day pop-up consignment event will take place at the Central Panhandle Fairgrounds, located at 2230 E. 15th Street in Panama City. The Bay County Fairgrounds event calendar lists shopping hours as Thursday, September 3 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, September 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Saturday, September 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free to the public.

More Than a Traditional Consignment Sale

Growing Through the Years was created by Kelsey Napier, who moved to Panama City Beach from Kentucky with her husband, Alex, in 2021. As a mother of two, Napier saw firsthand how quickly children outgrow clothing and other belongings, often while those items still have plenty of useful life remaining.

That experience became the inspiration for Growing Through the Years, a community pop-up designed to connect people who have quality items to sell with families looking to save money. The event is held twice a year and features gently used merchandise for babies, children, adults and the home. According to the organization, shoppers can find merchandise priced approximately 50% to 90% below retail prices.

For shoppers, that can mean an opportunity to stock up on clothing and other essentials without paying full retail prices. For consignors, it offers a convenient way to turn outgrown or no-longer-needed belongings into extra money.

Have Items to Sell?

PCB Growing Through the Years also gives local residents the opportunity to become consignors.

Sellers register for the event, prepare and tag their eligible in-season merchandise, then drop the items off before the sale. Growing Through the Years handles the three-day selling event, with consignors earning 65% to 75% of the selling price of their merchandise. Registered consignors can also receive a presale pass allowing them to shop before the general public.

On the final day, consignors can choose to have selected remaining merchandise offered at 50% off, giving Saturday bargain hunters another reason to browse the racks.

Giving Items—and Families—a Fresh Start

The event also has a community-service component. Consignors may choose to donate individual unsold items or everything that remains at the end of the sale.

Growing Through the Years says it partners with Fresh Start Care Closet and The Center of Hope to help put donated items into the hands of people who can use them. The organization also accepts donations and sponsorships benefiting local foster children. Its program provides participating foster children with a new duffle bag and shopping credit that can be used during the half-price portion of the sale.

It is part bargain-shopping event, part resale opportunity and part effort to keep usable merchandise circulating within the community instead of going to waste.
