Ride 4 The Cure Marks 10 Years in Panama City, Florida |
Pancreatic cancer fundraiser brings the Witches of St. Andrews back to Beck Avenue |

Ride 4 The Cure returns to Historic St. Andrews on Saturday, October 24, 2026, for a milestone 10th anniversary celebration supporting the fight against pancreatic cancer.
The event begins at 9 a.m. CDT at Captain’s Table Fish House Restaurant, 1110 Beck Avenue in Panama City, with festivities continuing through about 2 p.m.
The signature parade is scheduled to step off at 10:30 a.m., bringing witches, warlocks, decorated bicycles and golf carts through St. Andrews for a colorful community tradition built around a serious cause.
This year’s ride is especially meaningful because it marks a full decade of local families, volunteers and supporters coming together around pancreatic cancer awareness, patient support and hope.
Ten years of riding for a cure The event grew out of the Witches of St. Andrews tradition and is now presented by the Emerald Coast Pancreatic Cancer Initiative, known as ECPCI Cares.
The organization focuses on helping pancreatic cancer patients and families across the Emerald Coast while also raising awareness and supporting research.
Over the years, Ride 4 The Cure has become part fundraiser, part remembrance and part neighborhood celebration, with costumes and laughter sharing space with the stories of families who have faced pancreatic cancer firsthand.
The fun is intentional, but so is the mission behind it.
Money raised through the event and related donations helps support outreach, financial assistance and other resources for people affected by the disease. |
What to expect Saturday Registration activities begin at 9 a.m. at Captain’s Table, followed by the parade at 10:30 a.m.
Preregistered participants receive access to the parade, lunch, live music and the silent auction, with a registration package priced at $48.
Recent event updates indicate the parade has reached capacity for participants, so anyone who did not preregister should not expect to join the parade itself.
That does not mean the public has to miss the day.
Spectators are welcome to line the route and join the surrounding St. Andrews festivities, with several free activities planned for families and visitors.
Those extras include face painting, balloons, cotton candy, stilt walkers, roller derby entertainment and live music in and around the St. Andrews area.
Costumes remain a big part of the tradition Witches and warlocks have always given this event its personality, and costumes remain part of the fun for both participants and spectators.
Contests are planned for Best Witch, Best Warlock, Best Bike and Best Cackle, giving the day its familiar playful side.
A children’s costume contest has also been added for ages 5 to 10, with a $5 entry fee and prizes for the best costumes.
For families, it is the kind of local event where a child in costume, a decorated bike and a crowd cheering from Beck Avenue can all become part of the same morning.
A local cause with a wider reach Pancreatic cancer remains one of the most difficult cancers families can face, and local support can matter just as much as national research when someone is dealing with treatment, travel, time away from work and day-to-day expenses.
That is where ECPCI’s community mission comes in, pairing awareness with practical support for patients and families along the Emerald Coast.
The organization also keeps research in the picture, supporting efforts aimed at earlier detection, better treatment and ultimately a cure.
The 10th anniversary gives longtime supporters a chance to look back at how far the event has come while welcoming newer residents who may be seeing the witches, bikes and decorated golf carts for the first time.
How to take part if you are not registered Because parade participation is already full, the easiest way to support the event now is to come out, watch the parade, enjoy the free activities, support the silent-auction and fundraising efforts where available, and learn more about ECPCI’s work.
Captain’s Table Fish House Restaurant serves as the event hub at 1110 Beck Avenue, placing the celebration right in the heart of St. Andrews.
For one Saturday morning, Beck Avenue will once again turn purple, playful and purpose-driven as the community marks 10 years of riding for a cure. |
