Thunderbirds Return to Panama City Beach for Gulf Coast Salute Air Show

U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds headline free air show April 10-12 at Russell-Fields City Pier

The skies above Panama City Beach will roar with excitement this April as the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds return for the highly anticipated Gulf Coast Salute Air Show.

 

Mark your calendars for April 10-12, 2026. The action unfolds at Russell-Fields City Pier, with center stage positioned directly in front of this iconic landmark.

 

What to Expect

Friday is practice day, see the show and beat the crowds. All vendors will be open.

 

The show runs daily from 10am to 4pm. The Thunderbirds take to the skies at 3pm each day, delivering their signature precision flying demonstration that has captivated audiences nationwide.

 

Other talented performers like NextGen Eagles, Warbird Thunder, Red Line Airshows and Misty Blues Parachute Team to name a few will entertain the crowds throughout the day leading up to the Thunderbirds grand finale.

 

Best Viewing Spots

 

While the pier serves as center stage, spectators can enjoy excellent views from anywhere within one mile east or west of Russell-Fields City Pier. The beachfront location offers plenty of space to spread out and watch the action.

 

Event Details

 

Admission is completely free. This makes it the perfect weekend activity for families, aviation enthusiasts, and anyone looking for excitement on the Emerald Coast.

Vendors will be lined along the beach accesses near Russell-Fields City Pier

 

Free parking is available at Aaron Bessant Park. 500 W Park Dr, Panama City Beach, FL 32413 Paid parking is also offered at Sharky's Beachfront Restaurant on a first-come basis.

 

Getting There

 

Be prepared for road closures and heavy traffic during the event weekend. Several streets around the pier area will be closed to accommodate the large crowds expected.

 

Golf cart shuttles will run between Aaron Bessant Park and the pier for guests with mobility concerns.
