USPS Operation Santa:

Secret Santa Program

Bringing Holiday Cheer to Families in Need

A Time-Honored Tradition Offers Hope and Joy This Holiday Season.

The holiday season is upon us, and for many families, it brings both joy and challenges.

For over a century, the USPS Operation Santa program has been a beacon of hope, connecting generous individuals with children and families in need.

Through this initiative, heartfelt letters to Santa are adopted by kind-hearted people who strive to make holiday wishes come true.

What is USPS Operation Santa?

Established over 100 years ago, USPS Operation Santa allows children and families to write letters to Santa, sharing their holiday wishes.

These letters are then made available for adoption by individuals and organizations eager to spread holiday cheer.

Participants can select letters and fulfill the requests, ensuring that the magic of the season reaches those who might otherwise go without.

How to Send a Letter to Santa

If your child has a holiday wish list, encourage them to write a letter to Santa.

To ensure the letter is eligible for adoption, include the following:

- Child's first and last name

- Full return address (including apartment number, if applicable)

- Specific holiday wishes (including sizes, colors, or other pertinent details)

Address the letter to:

Santa

123 Elf Road

North Pole, 88888

Ensure the envelope has the correct postage and is postmarked by December 6, 2025.

Key Dates for 2025

New Features for 2025

This year, USPS Operation Santa has introduced enhancements to make participation even more impactful:

- **Team Adoption Option**: Groups, such as workplaces or community organizations, can collaborate to adopt and fulfill family letters, fostering a sense of community and shared giving.

- **Santa's Gift Shoppe**: Powered by Toys“R”Us, this expanded online catalog offers a wide selection of gifts, making it convenient for adopters to shop and ship presents directly from home.
