Essential Energy Support Available for Eligible Residents |
The Bay County Council on Aging is committed to assisting low-income individuals and families through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).
This program provides crucial support to help households manage the high costs of heating and cooling.
Key Programs & Providers:
To qualify for LIHEAP assistance, applicants must provide the following documents:
Current energy bill (electric or gas) in the name of a resident at the service address.
Proof of income for all household members.
Social Security numbers for everyone in the household.
Photo identification for all household members aged 18 and older.
Food stamp certification letter indicating the current monthly amount.
Birth certificates for children aged five or younger residing in the household.
Tenant calculation form, if living in public housing (e.g., Panama City, Springfield, Royal American, Section 8, or HUD).
Proof of disability, if applicable.
For more information or to apply for LIHEAP assistance, please contact the Bay County Council on Aging at (850) 769-3468, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and request energy assistance.
