Bay County has some seriously talented local makers and vendors. Any chance to put them in front of new customers is a win for everyone in this community.
- Cynthia AlejoJul 17, 2026
Really nice that it runs until 3 so you don't have to rush out there at the crack of dawn. 10 to 3 is a pretty comfortable window for families.
- rick_from_callawayJul 17, 2026
Didn't even know this market existed until now and it's been going since earlier this year. Guess I need to pay more attention to what's happening around here.
- Tasha BrownwellJul 17, 2026
The Sip and Stroll on Friday in downtown is super fun too if anyone hasn't done that before. The whole weekend is worth planning around.
- GregMcAlisterJul 17, 2026
I'll be honest the Christmas in July thing felt gimmicky to me at first but if it gets people out supporting local vendors then I'm all for it. Results are what matter.
- amanda.p_pcJul 17, 2026
Free, indoors, food trucks AND Christmas shopping in July? What's not to love honestly. This checks every single box.
- Dave HutchinsJul 17, 2026
My daughter makes jewelry and sold at a market last year in Gulf Coast. Said it was one of the best experiences she's had for getting her name out there. These events really do matter for small makers.
- NormaTallentJul 17, 2026
I have a small candle business and have been thinking about getting a booth at Sunday Social. Anyone here ever vended there? Curious how the foot traffic is.
- Phil R.Jul 17, 2026
Good to see this market growing so fast. Panama City needs more of this kind of stuff. Keeps people shopping local instead of driving to Tallahassee or ordering online.
- kristie_ann87Jul 17, 2026
Do they allow dogs at this market? Asking for obvious reasons because my dog goes everywhere with me and the fairgrounds is pretty open.
- Walt OkaforJul 17, 2026
Started Christmas shopping in July last year and it was the best decision I ever made. Zero stress in December. Highly recommend this mindset.
- Marcy DupontJul 17, 2026
I always feel bad that I never know about these events until after they happen. Glad I caught this one early enough to actually plan for it!
- LisaFromLynn HavenJul 17, 2026
The indoor location is a game changer in July honestly. Anyone who's been to an outdoor market here in the summer knows exactly what I mean.
- Bobby TranJul 17, 2026
My wife has been looking for handmade home decor stuff and this sounds perfect. Putting it in the group chat right now.
- Dana MoreauJul 17, 2026
Love that they're keeping the money in Bay County. Every time I buy from a local vendor I know it's actually helping someone's family, not a corporate headquarters somewhere.
- James OkaforJul 17, 2026
Great spot if you're renting a place for the week and want to find some unique decor or gifts that aren't from a chain store. Told everyone in our group to check it out.
- skeptical_steve99Jul 17, 2026
Hope there's enough parking at the fairgrounds this time. Last big event out there got a little chaotic with cars everywhere. Just saying plan ahead.
- Greta FairbanksJul 16, 2026
I bought the most unique handmade earrings at the last Sunday Social Market. You genuinely cannot find stuff like that at the mall. Will be back for sure.
- Tom B.Jul 16, 2026
Three days of Christmas in July events is actually really cool. Friday Sip and Stroll, Saturday farmers market, Sunday social market. That's a full weekend right there.
- JennyLou_PCJul 16, 2026
Went to the downtown farmers market last year and loved it. Glad to see Panama City doing more of these community events spread across the whole weekend.
- Carlos V.Jul 16, 2026
Does anyone know which food trucks will be there? That's honestly the deciding factor for me lol
- Patty HolcombJul 16, 2026
I've been following Ashley Sweat and what she's doing with this market and it's really impressive how fast it's grown. Doubled in size since March is no joke.
- mike_baycoJul 16, 2026
The Bay County Fairgrounds is a solid spot for this kind of thing. Indoor in July means you're not melting in the heat while you browse. Smart move.
- Deborah SimmsJul 16, 2026
Christmas in July sounds cheesy on paper but honestly I love getting a head start on shopping before the holiday rush hits. Beats fighting crowds in December.
- RonniePCFLJul 16, 2026
Free admission is a big deal for families around here. Not everything has to cost money just to walk in the door. Good on them for keeping it accessible.
- margo_thriftsJul 16, 2026
Free admission AND air conditioning AND dog friendly? That's basically a perfect Saturday morning setup honestly.
- Sandra K.Jul 16, 2026
Already putting July 19th on my calendar! I went to the May market and was shocked at how many vendors they had. Definitely worth the trip out to the fairgrounds.
- sunscreen_and_sinkersJul 16, 2026
The scenery in St. Andrews Bay is honestly half the reason I go. Even on slow fishing days it's just a beautiful place to be on the water.
- Frank DesotoJul 16, 2026
Been going since they opened and the quality of vendors has gotten better each month. Feels like more serious collectors are showing up to sell now.
- ReelTalkRandyJul 16, 2026
Snapper are the most fun to catch with kids because they bite fast and fight hard. Perfect for keeping attention spans short.
- Nancy DelucaJul 16, 2026
PCB gets all the spring break hype but it's genuinely one of the best spots in the whole country for charter fishing. That part doesn't get enough credit.
- tyler_m88Jul 16, 2026
Grouper limits are tight now compared to what they used to be but honestly the fishery is way healthier because of it. Worth it long term.
- CoastalCarolineJul 16, 2026
Spotted a sea turtle on our last inshore trip near the bay. Didn't expect that at all, made the whole morning feel special.
- budget_traveler_bobJul 16, 2026
Curious what the price range is for a half day inshore trip these days. Article doesn't mention cost at all which is kind of the first thing I want to know.
- Maria G.Jul 16, 2026
My husband is obsessed with flounder fishing in the bay. Says it's the best table fish in the Gulf and I'm not gonna argue with him.
- FrustratedFisherJul 16, 2026
Tried to book a charter last July and everywhere was full two weeks out. If you're visiting in peak summer, book way ahead of time, seriously.
- OldSaltPensacolaJul 16, 2026
Those artificial reefs offshore hold some serious fish. The state has done a good job building them up over the years.
- jenn_at_the_beachJul 16, 2026
Emerald Coast Angling gets really good reviews from people I know. Planning to book them for a bachelorette trip this June, fingers crossed!
- Rick BoudreauxJul 16, 2026
King mackerel hitting a live bait is something else. Saw one clear the water twice before we got it to the boat. Incredible.
- Collette B.Jul 16, 2026
I've been looking for a place to sell some of my vintage kitchenware collection. Might reach out about getting a vendor spot. Seems like a good crowd.
- coastalcuriouscatJul 16, 2026
Has anyone done a night charter out of PCB? Wondering if any of these companies offer that or if it's all daytime trips.
- FishingDadFLJul 16, 2026
The fish cleaning service is what sold me. Last thing I want after a long day on the water is to spend another hour at the cleaning station.
- Karen W.Jul 16, 2026
I get seasick just reading about offshore trips lol. Give me the bay any day, flat water and redfish is all I need.
- Dave_ThompsonJul 16, 2026
Jubilee Deep Sea does a great job with first timers. Captain walked my whole family through everything step by step.
- LocalLurkerJul 16, 2026
Spring and summer are good but honestly fall fishing in the bay is slept on. Water clears up and the trout go crazy.
- Patrice NguyenJul 15, 2026
Amberjack on light tackle is one of the most fun fights you'll ever have. Highly recommend going offshore at least once if you're visiting.
- vacay_vibes2023Jul 15, 2026
The license thing is huge. I never even thought about needing one until my buddy almost got fined on a DIY trip.
- Tommy R.Jul 15, 2026
Capt. Anderson's Marina has been around forever. Good to see them still getting mentioned, that place is a PCB institution.
- SkepticalSteve_FLJul 15, 2026
These articles always make it sound easy. Went offshore once and the waves were brutal. Just be aware it's not always smooth sailing out there.
- outdoorsy_danJul 15, 2026
Good to have this as a backup plan when the weather doesn't cooperate. Keeps the family busy without spending a fortune.
- Debra HollowayJul 15, 2026
Took my 8 year old on an inshore charter and she caught her first speckled trout. She still talks about it two years later.
- mike_pcbJul 15, 2026
Cobia run in spring is insane if you hit it right. One of those things locals know about but visitors always miss.
- GulfCoastGaryJul 15, 2026
Grouper season offshore is no joke. Came home with a cooler full and the fish cleaning service saved us like two hours of work.
- Sandra K.Jul 15, 2026
The inshore trips in St. Andrews Bay are so underrated. Saw three dolphins right next to the boat last time, kids were losing their minds.
- BeachBum_TerryJul 15, 2026
Went out with Hook'em Up last summer and caught more redfish than I knew what to do with. Totally worth every penny.
- Tiffany RuizJul 15, 2026
The boutique clothing situation there is underrated. Found a linen top for eight dollars that I've gotten so many compliments on.
- Al DupreeJul 15, 2026
Waterfront, murals, good food, local shops all within walking distance of the market. Downtown PC has really come a long way. Events like this just make it better.
- weekend_wandererJul 15, 2026
Two events back to back Friday evening and Saturday morning is a solid plan. Downtown Panama City is really stepping it up.
- Debra SimmonsJul 15, 2026
I picked up the most beautiful handmade ornaments at last year's Christmas in July market. Still on my tree. Worth every penny and the vendor was so kind.
- skeptic_steveJul 15, 2026
Hope there's actual variety and not just the same ten vendors selling the same printed t-shirts and phone cases every week.
