igniteSTEM: A Hands-On Science Experience for Panama City Families

Where young creators, builders, and problem‑solvers jump in, experiment, and ignite their imagination through hands‑on STEM fun.

Families across Panama City are invited to experience igniteSTEM, a free, high‑energy STEM event designed to spark curiosity and introduce students to real-world opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math.(STEM) Built for youth ages 6–17, this interactive event brings learning to life through activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and big ideas.

 

Hosted by Leadership Bay Class 43 of the Bay County Chamber of Commerce, igniteSTEM is a community‑driven effort to help young people discover how STEM connects to everyday life—and how it can shape their future right here in Bay County. Through hands-on stations and engaging demonstrations, students will see STEM in action in ways that feel exciting, accessible, and empowering.

  • Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

  • Location: MLK Jr. Recreation Center 705 E 14th Court, Panama City

 

What Students Can Look Forward To

igniteSTEM is designed to be fun, welcoming, and inspiring for kids and teens alike. Participants will enjoy:

igniteSTEM was created to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and highlight the exciting possibilities available through STEM education and careers in Bay County. From healthcare and engineering to technology and skilled trades, students will get a glimpse of the pathways that begin with curiosity and grow into opportunity.

 

The event is proudly presented by HCA Florida Healthcare, whose support helps ensure this enriching experience remains free for all families.

While attendance is free, registration is required to help organizers prepare materials and ensure a smooth experience for all participants.
