Historic Downtown Panama City will come alive Saturday morning as the Panama City Farmers’ Market returns to Harrison Avenue on July 11, 2026.

From 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., residents and visitors can stroll through the heart of downtown while shopping for fresh produce, locally made foods, handcrafted gifts and other unique items offered by area farmers, artists and small-business owners.

The weekly outdoor market is centered near McKenzie Park and 218 Harrison Avenue. For the July 11 market, vendors are scheduled to set up along Harrison Avenue between Fourth Street and Government Street. The downtown market is held every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

More Than a Place to Shop

Visitors can expect a changing selection of products because participating vendors may vary from week to week. Typical market offerings include seasonal fruits and vegetables, locally raised meats, baked treats, specialty foods, plants, artwork, jewelry, home décor and handmade crafts.

Food trucks, live music and the welcoming atmosphere of Historic Downtown Panama City help turn an ordinary shopping trip into a relaxed Saturday morning outing.

The market also gives shoppers an opportunity to meet the people who grow, bake, design or create the products they purchase. That personal connection is one of the qualities that separates a farmers’ market from a traditional retail store.

Every purchase helps support a local farmer, maker or entrepreneur while keeping more money circulating within the Bay County community.

A Saturday Morning in Downtown Panama City

A visit to the market can easily become part of a larger downtown experience. After browsing the vendor booths, guests can explore nearby shops, stop for breakfast or lunch at a downtown restaurant, visit a local coffee shop or take a walk toward the Panama City Marina and St. Andrews Bay.

McKenzie Park also adds a sense of history to the occasion. The park was a focal point during Panama City’s early development in the late 1800s and remains an important gathering place for markets, concerts and community events.

The farmers’ market welcomes shoppers of all ages, and its published policy notes that pets are welcome as well. Pet owners should keep animals safely restrained and come prepared for warm pavement and July temperatures.

July Town Hall Taking Place During this Saturday’s Market

The City of Panama City will host its monthly community Town Hall on Saturday, July 11, at 8:00 a.m. in Room 010, located on the lower level of City Hall (501 Harrison Ave). While the event typically takes place on the first Saturday of each month, this session was delayed due to the Independence Day holiday weekend. This casual, community-centered gathering offers residents a platform to share ideas, raise concerns, and ask questions before issues head to a formal vote. Attendees can easily transition from the meeting to the local farmers' market outside. The town hall series will return to its regular schedule on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
